Apex Legends Season 9 Will Make Titanfall Fans Happy, Director Says

Apex Legends is a spin-off game from Respawn’s Titanfall series, but the battle royale game’s unique identity means that it can sometimes be easy to forget that. However, fans hoping to have more direct Titanfall elements incorporated into the battle royale shooter should look forward to Season 9, which will supposedly feature “some really cool stuff” from the series. Though the specifics aren’t available yet, the game’s director seems pretty confident they’ll be satisfied.

Speaking on a panel by BrownGirlGamerCode (via Dexerto), Apex Legends game director Chad Grenier hyped up the Titanfall content that will come to the game for Season 9.

“I’ve told some people before, if you’re a Titanfall fan, hang on for Season 9 because there’s gonna be some really cool stuff there.”

Though there have been some rumors that an actual Titan could come to the game, which we haven’t seen in the few years Apex Legends has been available, this would go against what Respawn Entertainment has discussed in the past. Because of the level design and movement of the Apex Legends heroes, as well as keeping matches balanced for their duration, bringing in giant, lumbering robots didn’t make sense. We wouldn’t count on Titans coming to the game.

In the Titanfall games, the titular walking tanks aren’t indestructible, however. With anti-titan weapons, some clever ambushing, and teamwork, it’s not all that difficult to take one down, but this would certainly still skew matches in the Titan-user’s favor when only a few battle royale players remain. Titans’ weapons also make them extremely deadly at long ranges, further complicating their inclusion in big, open maps.

We haven’t heard much about a potential third Titanfall game in the last few years, though EA has said it’s up to Respawn whether or not that game gets made Come from online casino bangladesh . Titanfall 2 didn’t sell quite as well as EA had hoped, but it was critically acclaimed. Part of the reason for its lower-than-expected sales figures may have been because of its launch date, which was just a week after EA’s own Battlefield 1 and one week before Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

ESA Responds To Call For Games Like GTA 5 To Be Banned

In a story that seems like it occurs every few months, a politician is blaming violent video games for contributing to real-life crime. The ESA–which also organizes E3 every year–said in a statement that there is “no evidence” of a connection between video games and violence, as studies have shown.

“While our industry understands and shares the concerns about what has been happening in Chicago, there simply is no evidence of a link between interactive entertainment and real-world violence,” the spokesperson said. “We believe the solution to this complex problem resides in examining thoroughly the actu…

Mindhunter Season 3 Is Not Happening

Netflix’s popular crime drama Mindhunter will not come back for a third season, showrunner David Fincher has confirmed. Speaking to Le Journal du Dimanche (via IGN), Fincher said he is “very proud” of the first two seasons, but said fans should not hold out hope for a third.

While Mindhunter might not be coming back, Fincher fans can watch his 2020 movie Mank and look forward to the Fincher movie The Killer for Netflix later this year.

“It’s a very expensive show and, in the eyes of Netflix, we didn’t attract enough of an audience to justify such an investment [for Season 3],” he said. “I don’t blame them, they took risks to get the show off the ground, gave me the means to do Mank the way I wanted to do it, and they allowed me to venture down new paths with The Killer. It’s…
